Quiet Week for the Walleye Derby
"TurtleRiverWalleyeGuy" - 23" Walleye - Gull Lake
Walleye fishing slowed a bit in my neck of the woods this weekend partially due to some unpleasant weather, and partially due to a few projects that needed to get done. TurtleRiverWalleyeGuy put in a few hours last week on the water and pulled the walleye you see to the left out of Gull Lake… one of a few in Minnesota. So he makes another move up the board hoping to to add a few more hogs and put some pressure on “Hang Loose” who, rumor has it, spent some time catching a few “eater” walleyes when he wasn’t working.
One more update to come this week and then a little break for the Fourth of July holiday. Everyone have a safe and relaxing holiday!
I really need some hogs to catch up to Hang Loose!!
Well, the good news is that there’s plenty of season left.
